PROMISE Technology to Showcase Latest Video Surveillance and Cloud Surveillance Solutions at Security Show 2015

HSINCHU, Taiwan, and TOKYO, Japan - March 2, 2015 - PROMISE Technology, a storage industry global leader, will showcase its latest video surveillance solutions in live demonstrations with its partners throughout the surveillance ecosystem at the 23rd Security and Safety Management exhibition, SECURITY SHOW 2015, at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center, Tokyo Big Sight. PROMISE Technology will present its comprehensive video surveillance solutions and, for the first time, introduce cloud solutions that can be used to build cloud service-based surveillance camera systems.

PROMISE Technology, with over 25 years of experience developing, designing and constructing high performance storage solutions, offers a range of video surveillance solutions that include the Vess A2000 series of NVR (network video recorder) appliances and the Vess R2000 series of external storage solutions. Cloud-based surveillance services are the focus of an increased amount of attention in recent years. In designing its solutions, PROMISE Technology places particular emphasis on the reliability and performance of surveillance storage. At SECURITY SHOW 2015, PROMISE Technology will introduce cloud video surveillance solutions developed by combining the company's diverse product lineup with its extensive experience in video surveillance-related technology.

The Technology Needed for Cloud Surveillance Services

The video storage system that supports a surveillance camera service must be able to provide stable throughput that can record video from multiple cameras without dropping frames. It must also feature failsafe protection, provide easy application management and maintenance, and be cost-effective. In addition to all that, it also needs to support the flexible scaling up and scaling out unique to cloud-based services.

At SECURITY SHOW 2015, PROMISE Technology will present and demonstrate expandable cloud video surveillance solutions that meet these stringent requirements and are capable of supporting hundreds and thousands of cameras simultaneously. The demonstration will involve a real-life experiment using a regular public line, a cloud environment installed overseas, and surveillance cameras installed both domestically and overseas.
