PROMISE Technology Inc

Highlights Include Surveillance Cloud, Petabyte-level Scale-Out Storage and End-to-End Video Workflow Demonstrations

HSINCHU, Taiwan, June 1, 2015 - This week at Computex Taipei, PROMISE Technology will showcase its solutions for the cloud/IT, video surveillance and rich media markets in demonstrations focusing on how the company is transitioning from a storage provider to a trusted cloud solution partner. Attendees of Computex can see new solutions from PROMISE in action, such as the award-winning Pegasus2 R2+ and Surveillance Cloud. Highlighting the display is the new VSky A-Series scale-out storage solution for petabyte-level deployments which acts as the archiving platform for all data from each PROMISE demonstration.

The cloud has become the clear way forward for many businesses that are looking for cost-efficiencies, scalability and simplicity in managing their data. PROMISE has over 25 years of experience in the storage industry and has developed innovative cloud solutions that help businesses share files and collaborate more efficiently, manage petabytes of data, protect assets and much more.

Cloud/IT

Launched at March's Cloud Expo Europe, the new VSky A-Series is a unified storage appliance architecture supporting Object, Block (iSCSI) and File (NAS). At Computex, PROMISE will showcase how VSky A-Series is an ideal backup/archive solution that can scale out to petabytes. Meanwhile, PROMISE will demonstrate FileCruiser, its Enterprise File Synchronization and Sharing (EFSS) solution which allows businesses to build a secure, scalable private cloud storage service. FileCruiser is paired with VSky A-Series which allows businesses to build their own private cloud storage service on a massive scale.

Video Surveillance</p>

From on-premise solutions optimized for video surveillance, such as Vess A2000 NVRs and Vess R2000 external storage, to a new Surveillance Cloud platform, the PROMISE display showcases a wide range of solutions for customers to build their next security project around.

PROMISE's cloud infrastructure for video surveillance as a service provides new possibilities to protect smaller businesses and chain stores. The service is activated through the end user's IP camera with the video hosted and managed at the service provider's Internet Data Center. The Surveillance Cloud enables the service provider to deploy thousands of cameras and can store video for hundreds of days. The solution provides great simplicity to end users, offloads their initial costs, reduces hardware and software maintenance costs, provides plug and play convenience, enables anytime and anywhere viewing and ensures a reliable and scalable video service and storage solution.

Rich Media

PROMISE will showcase live broadcast workflow demonstrations featuring ingest, edit and playback stations with VTrak A-Class with NAS Gateway, VTrak J5000 12G SAS and SANLink2. VSky A-Series will be leveraged for the content delivery and backup/archiving workstation.

A key highlight for creative professionals is PROMISE's 2015 Computex Best Choice Award winner - Pegasus2 R2+. The new Pegasus2 R2+ is a Thunderbolt 2 hardware RAID 0/1 storage solution with USB 3.0 that includes two hot-swappable hard disk drives and a media bay with an optional HDD Pod, SSD Reader Pod, and CF/SD Reader Pod for convenient data exchange.

"We are excited to showcase our latest innovations at Computex which are helping service providers, media and entertainment companies, enterprises and many more businesses realize the benefits of the cloud," said James Lee, CEO, PROMISE Technology. "The cloud is redefining the tech landscape and we look forward to showcasing how our solutions bring cost savings, infrastructure reliability and flexibility to businesses of all sizes."
