Team Member Access Permissions
The role of each member is assigned by the team lead after the team is created and when the member is added. There are a set of roles defined with different access rights (or permissions), including READ, WRITE, SHARE INSIDE (inside the domain), SHARE OUTSIDE (outside the domain), and more.

Share by Demand

FileCruiser provides convenient and secure ways to share your data internally or to external organizations with Access Control and Trace. Plus, FileCruiser ShareLinks help users easily send super large files which reduces e-mail traffic bandwidth and usage of the storage space on the mail server.

Sharing with Shared Links
FileCruiser lets users easily upload files and folders to the server which will generate a unique downloadable link for each file and folder. The content from the shared hyperlink can be password protected and users can set an expiration date.

Sharing to Teams
FileCruiser also helps you easily manage and share your content to users or teams who have an account in FileCruiser. The file will be copied to the user's folder automatically. You can define who can access, read and write the specific file or folder you shared.

Online Video Stream

With FileCruiser, you can stream videos or music on any of your client devices without having to download the entire file. This saves precious space on your tablet or smart phone and enables you to conveniently keep all your files in one place online.

Multi-Architecture support

VR2600 is designed for medium to large-sized organizations and provides the service hardware as well as scale out computing capability.

Audit and Monitor
IT administrators can monitor file and user activity and get a complete audit trail by generating reports on all user behavior, including sharing, deleting and adding files and more.

Connection with Vess R2600:

Each Vess R2600 controller has one RJ-45 1G Ethernet Management Port used for device management via web-based GUI. After establishing the IP settings for the Vess R2600, you will use WebPAM PROe, the management GUI for Vess R2600, to setup the system for use as backend storage with the FileCruiser Server 1U4.

To establish the management path:

1. Attach one end of an Ethernet cable to the network connector or standard NIC in the Host PC
   Attach the other end of the Ethernet cable to one of the ports on the standard network switch.
2. Attach one end of an Ethernet cable to one of the ports on the standard network switch.
   Attach the other end of the Ethernet cable to the Management Port on the Vess R2600 subsystem.

The FileCruiser Server 1U4 connects to FileCruiser clients with 1G Ethernet connections. In addition, all management and administration of the FileCruiser system is conducted through this interface.

The Vess R2600iD is used as the backend storage system for FileCruiser. This is where the FileCruiser client data is stored. The 1G network also provides connection from FileCruiser to FileCruiser clients. Both the Vess and FileCruiser systems must be connected to the same 1G Ethernet network for FileCruiser to function and service FileCruiser clients.

The management network path represented by the red colored cable in the illustration abaove, is used to configure the Vess R2600iD for operation with the FileCruiser Server1U4. Once configured, this port is not used for ongoing operations, but it is a good idea to keep the cabling in place for future administration of the Vess R2600iD.
